Tim demonstrates dedication throughout both his professional and personal life. As an insurance account executive and marketing specialist, he campaigns for enhanced support and marketing of the In-Home Care and Franchise divisions at SilverStone Group – resulting in unbeatable service for his customers. As a family man, he commits quality time, support and encouragement to his wife, three children and two grandchildren. Safely said, he is a champion for dependability.
Tim has more than 25 years of insurance coverage experience, with an increased focus on property and casualty risk management. The clients he has worked with range from contractors, manufacturers and environmental firms, to large retail companies and the home care industry. When he isn't at the office helping customers make the most out of their insurance coverage, Tim also enjoys going to the lake in Park Rapids, MN and a cabin near Buffalo, WY with his family.
Having grown up in Norfolk and moving to Omaha when he was a junior in high school, Tim lives and breathes Midwestern values and fundamental excellence. Originally launching his career in 1996 with SilverStone Group, Derek Smith has rejoined the firm as Program Manager of our In-Home Care Risk Services division. Derek spent nearly 16 years as a wholesale insurance broker and senior vice president in Chicago before returning home to Omaha. Derek brings vast risk management expertise to his position at SilverStone Group. His client-centric mentality is instrumental in fostering long-term relationships while delivering customized insurance solutions to his clients. As client needs evolve, he is constantly challenging himself to seek fresh and innovative client solutions. Derek accomplishes this with a very high level of service and a flair for developing close, personal client relationships.

Insurance seems to be in Meg’s DNA. Her risk management career actually started at her parent’s insurance firm. When they decided to sell their agency, she made the move to SilverStone Group. Her extensive insurance background consists of work in several different areas (including personal lines, commercial lines and bonds), but she eventually found that managing risk in the in-home care industry is what she enjoys the most.
As a Marketing Operations Specialist, Meg is responsible for marketing new business, working with various carriers on coverage needs and walking clients through current and proposed policies. She understands the value of providing detailed and accurate information, as well as prompt customer service.
There are many reasons why Meg likes working at SilverStone Group, but she is most appreciative of the people and team atmosphere. She may not be able to work for her family anymore, but this is definitely the next best thing!
