Andie Gordman

Andie sees the value in people, which is why she enjoys her job so much! It is her belief that people are the most important asset to any organization.

Andie sees the value in people, which is why she enjoys her job so much! It is her belief that people are the most important asset to any organization. Over the last 25 years, Andie has specialized in helping clients and their organizations move forward by providing human resource strategy development and tactical execution.

Andie provides support to clients through her expertise in human resource and compensation management.  Her wide range of experience allows her to help clients see how the human resource function fits within the organization. Some of her areas of focus include human resource department assessments, recruiting and selection, employee handbook and policy development and compensation analysis.

She provides clients with practical advice on how to create a human resource function to support the mission and vision of an organization. Andie’s previous executive level roles allowed her to learn about the success factors of many industries. She appreciates SilverStone Group’s dedication to the community and recognizes our care and concern for employees.

Andie is a member of the Human Resources Association of the Midlands, the Society for Human Resource Management and World at Work.

When away from work, Andie keeps busy serving on the Temple Israel Board of Trustees and in her role as the Certification Director for the Society for Human Resource Management Nebraska State Council. She is also a graduate of the Greater Omaha Chamber’s Leadership Omaha Class 38. Andie isn’t all work and no play – she loves to travel. She and her family are always planning their next adventure.

Ashley Thomalla

Senior Consultant

Whether she’s taking care of her family, running, working in her garden or enjoying a Husker sporting event, Ashley likes keeping busy. This fast-paced life keeps her on her toes and helps her stay prepared for what the consulting industry brings her way!

As a Senior Consultant for the HR Consulting Team, Ashley is dedicated to meeting client needs and helping them see the big picture in their organization. Her background in industrial/organizational psychology, coupled with her common sense approach and ability to balance science and practice, prove to be crucial in her work as a consultant. Ashley brings her outside perspective to help numerous clients, including those in financial services, healthcare, non-profits and utilities.

Ashley has experience in analyzing and documenting jobs, which serve as the foundation of many key organizational functions such as hiring, training, compensating employees and managing their performance. Her experience includes work environment scans and audits as well as organizational design and selection projects. On a regular basis, Ashley conducts research and analyzes data to answer questions and examines best practices and industry trends to help clients see how their policies and practices compare.

Ashley’s education and experience in compensating and rewarding employees have helped her to focus clients on the importance of their total rewards strategies. She routinely provides clients with compensation recommendations to help them attract and retain qualified employees. Furthermore, Ashley encourages a pay for performance culture and has helped clients design pay for performance plans to motivate desired employee behaviors that lead to positive organizational outcomes. Her analytical ability, critical-thinking skills and attention to detail prove very useful in helping clients meet their needs.

She is a member of SilverStone Group’s Wellness Activities Group (WAG), the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), the Wellness Council of the Midlands (WELLCOM) and World at Work. Ashley has received WELCOA’s Seven Benchmarks Advanced Level Certification through her work with WAG, a volunteer-led group focused on providing employees with information and resources for improved health and well-being. Ashley’s work as a member of WAG helped SilverStone Group attain WELCOA’s esteemed Platinum Award for 2017-2019.

With his core ideology focusing on employee engagement and enrichment, Russ discovered his perfect career fit in human resources with over 10 years of experience under his belt. Russ enjoys developing unique strategies to meet the needs of the ever-changing employee population.

Russ brings a diverse perspective to the table, having worked across the country and in different industries. Through this previous experience, Russ has led and participated in a variety of projects and initiatives, such as developing a mentorship program for employees to increase engagement and productivity, and creating and administering employee satisfaction surveys to identify key areas of improvement. Russ has played a key role in the re-design of organizations and teams, and has helped develop new compensation structures and philosophies.

As a Consultant at SilverStone Group, Russ specializes in developing and employing compensation practices that help employers attract, retain, reward and motivate top talent. Russ thinks of compensation as a puzzle – and he enjoys solving the puzzle by knowing where to strategically place each piece to meet an employer’s goals. Although the puzzle is generally the same, Russ knows that each organization brings its own flavor and nuance to the mix – allowing him to bring innovative solutions to the table.

Russ is dedicated to remaining current on the latest compensation trends and is an active member of WorldatWork. When he’s not engaged with clients, Russ enjoys spending time with his family, dabbling in woodworking and catching a good movie.

Bryn Schoening

Consultant

A fan of continuous learning, Bryn is most comfortable when she’s introducing new experiences to others. Whether it’s at work as an HR Consultant, or while serving as the Vice President of Public Relations for Toastmaster SilverSpeakers, Bryn thrives on helping people unleash their inner potential.

With more than 10 years of HR management experience, Bryn has worked with teams across a variety of industries to implement strategies to help increase efficiency and improve the employee experience. As an HR Consultant at SilverStone Group, Bryn works with clients to solve HR challenges, including regulatory compliance, employee handbook, policy development, employee relations, job descriptions and compensation. In addition, she partners with clients to ensure policies and procedures are compliant and follow current best practices.

Bryn is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and serves as co-chair on the Governmental Affairs Committee for Human Resources Association of the Midlands (HRAM).

In line with her passion for new experiences, Bryn enjoys trips to New York to attend Broadway shows and performances at Julliard.

With a background in customer service, Ariana is eager to use her experience to help her clients and co-workers alike. As a Consulting Associate, she provides administrative and operational support to her team with a specific focus on compensation and HR compliance. She assists with job description and policy development, compensation analysis, employee handbook reviews, candidate sourcing, interview processes and the creation of project deliverables and presentations. She also evaluates compensation data and conducts research on best practices and trends regarding policy updates and changes. Ariana enjoys the variety in her job and the ability to work on different projects every day.

Her ambitious attitude doesn’t end when she leaves work. Ariana is a member of the Human Resource Association of the Midlands (HRAM) and the UNO Young Alumni Academy – Class of 2018. She is dedicated to furthering her professional expertise and is currently working on her Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
