Adrian is a well-rounded individual. Since starting his insurance career at Lloyd’s of London in 1981, he has covered virtually every facet of the business, including underwriting, claims management, reinsurance, marketing and product development.
A man who is always looking for his next adventure, Adrian left England in 1993 to take a position with Redland Insurance Company (RIC) in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Adrian was subsequently appointed President of Redland Specialty Underwriters, a joint venture between RIC and Swire Blanch, a Lloyd’s broker.
His vast experience in the international arena and wide array of insurance perspectives allow Adrian to create innovative, customized risk management solutions for clients.
Adrian manages a dedicated team of professionals who work closely with private equity firms, investment banks and law firms that specialize in mergers and acquisitions. From conducting detailed risk evaluations, which may identify potential challenges, to implementing necessary risk reduction policies, Adrian and his team provide the insight and tools necessary to strategize for success.
When Adrian is not busy finding the best solutions for SilverStone Group clients, he can be found enjoying the outdoors. He’s an avid bicycler, an enthusiast for skiing the fresh powder on the slopes and is known for catching ‘the big fish’ in deep sea fishing excursions. His curious ways have led Adrian on many adventures throughout the world, leaving him with an abundance of stories to tell. If you’re willing to listen, he’s willing to share!

John H. Nelson grew up in a family that espoused Midwest values of family, community and an honest day's work for an honest dollar and his upbringing shows in the way he handles his business. With 20 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, John specializes in multi-family residential, hospitality, retail, industrial and commercial property risks.
John founded and continues to lead our Real Estate Risk Services division, which is considered one of the top industry-specific insurance teams in the United States, with assets in all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
Our real estate clients develop and manage commercial, residential and hospitality investment properties. These clients face risk management issues that require complex solutions. With backgrounds in reinsurance, underwriting, marketing, safety engineering and claims adjudication, John's team is uniquely positioned to offer clients a true 360-degree perspective of their risk management programs.
John has expertise in designing property programs for clients with catastrophic risk exposures. He has designed exclusive specialty programs for portfolios with vulnerability to Tier I windstorm, moderate to high risk earthquake and multi-national terrorism exposures.
John has always had a keen interest in aviation. His grandfather, Major James Tucker, flew a Lockheed P-38 Lightning during World War II. In recognition of the globalization of business and the proliferation of both privately-owned and corporate aircraft, John founded the Aviation division at SilverStone Group by recruiting experts with expertise in the industry. He works closely with the Aviation Team, which has experience in many facets of aviation risk management and is dedicated to bringing our customers the best service in the industry.
His job experience includes working internationally with Swire Fraser at Lloyd's of London, Swire Pacific in Hong Kong and Aon Risk Services in Chicago, IL.
John has participated in several education programs, including the Grieg Fester Reinsurance Program, London, England; the CNA Sales & Technical Training School, Chicago, IL; and, the USF&G School of Insurance, Baltimore, MD.
John is passionate about supporting Nebraskans Support Seals and the Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation. He is a member of Young Presidents' Organization and the Board of Aksarben. He and his wife, Susie, also volunteer for several regional and national philanthropies. In 2016, John joined the Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands.

Barb has worked in the insurance industry for more than 30 years. With that much experience, you can rest assured that your organization is receiving the most knowledgeable information possible. Specializing in property & casualty and risk management, Barb oversees the service staff of the Property & Casualty Risk Services Division, a job she says is a lot like working with extended family. Barb prides herself on her team's commitment to always putting client needs first. She has developed strong, positive relationships with insurance carriers and spends time researching products, industry innovations and other means by which the client/carrier relationship can be enhanced.
Barb has served on several boards, including acting as past president of Insurance Women of Omaha, past president of Big Red Nebraska NetVU User Group, past board of director for the Omaha Chapter of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) and past president of Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha; currently she is Chairman of the Executive Board of NetVU (National User Group of Vertafore products). In 1998 Barb was awarded “Insurance Woman of the Year” by Insurance Women of Omaha. Barb is not in this for the accolades, though -- she loves working at SilverStone Group because of the firm-wide commitment to customer service. And she's always up for a challenge -- change, she says, is good for the organization, helping us face the future unafraid to try new things.

Nancy has been with SilverStone Group since 2000 and has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her experience includes working for national insurance brokers and companies. She finds insurance exciting and appreciates the challenge of continuous evolving changes requiring the development of new coverage.
Specializing in property and casualty insurance as well as professional and executive liability coverage, Nancy’s focus is to explore and evaluate insurance policy endorsements and coverage forms. Understanding insurance language is not easy and sometimes it requires dissecting sentences.
She knows that a strong client relationship and a working knowledge of each client’s operation enables SilverStone Group to build a quality insurance program and risk management alternatives. She meets with SilverStone Group’s producers and marketing experts, as well as underwriters to find ways to offer our clients choices for broader insurance coverage. Nancy has also prepares coverage training modules. for presentation. Her goal is to make things better and easier for everyone to understand.
In 2004 Nancy received special recognition from SilverStone Group when she was awarded the H.H. “Red” Nelson Award for excellence in client service. Associates are nominated by their peers in recognition of their willingness to work as a team and positively express their work ethic, personal characteristics and communication skills.

Shelly has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and has gained a range of expertise through her prior positions. She started out as a commercial lines rater where she learned the key components of the business. She spent a few years in marketing and then became an Account Executive, which ultimately led her to earn the title of Vice President of Marketing.
