Full Biography
Besides her knowledge, enthusiasm and passion, one of Amy’s best qualities is her level of patience. For example, she’s been on the season ticket waiting list for the Green Bay Packers since 1992, and she’s currently in line behind 12,000 other fans who also want to enjoy a season in Lambeau Field. Her patience for Packer tickets is similar to her patience in explaining risk management and risk transfer to her clients — she’ll take as long as needed in order for her clients to fully understand their plan.
With more than 16 years of experience in risk management, including past employment with two Fortune 500 companies, Amy brings expertise and a developed understanding of the various issues faced by clients. She mitigates and manages client risk through traditional insurance programs, captive alternatives, risk control, claims management and loss control initiatives, as well as contractual risk transfer.
Amy is a risk management advocate and believes policies should be bought only after steps are taken to reduce the risk. She feels insurance procurement should be the result of a year’s worth of work on controlling, mitigating and managing known and unknown business risks. This investigation should then direct the risk transfer product selection. Amy’s strategy, energy, creativity and passion to help her clients make her a valuable asset to her customers.
During her years on the client side, she worked through several mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and bankruptcies and associated litigation. Amy utilizes this knowledge base to ensure that client risks are identified and protected. She strives to develop client partnerships based on trust, confidence, courtesy and top-flight client service. Amy considers SilverStone Group to be her clients’ one-stop, one-shop, one-phone-call partner.
Amy is an active member of Beaver Valley Lutheran Church, where she serves on the church council. She and her husband Jeff reside in Brandon, SD with their three boys.
