Dan knows that in business it’s people who make the difference. He’s been in the Property & Casualty business for more than 21 years, long enough to know that what really makes a customer feel valued is having someone take the time to listen to his or her story. That’s exactly what Dan and his team do each and every day while communicating extensively with their client and then work together to streamline coverages. Dan and his team use a total cost of risk approach that incorporates a number of divisions including the Human Capital and Private Client Service area. Dan specializes in the placement of unique coverages including large workers’ compensation programs that can include a loss-sensitive approach.

Dan really enjoys helping others and already has an admirable community service record. He is a past member of the Fontenelle Forest Board of Directors Executive Committee and a past member of the New Cassel Retirement Center Board of Directors. He has also served on the Ak-Sar-Ben Floor Committee. Dan attended the Roger Sitkins Training Camp and is a member of the Nebraska Restaurant Association. In addition, Dan holds his Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation.

What might surprise you about this multi-sport collegiate standout and former rugby player is his passion for the theatre. As Dramatic Arts major in college Joe Schaffner has always had a fondness for theatre. Not only is Joe passionate and knowledgeable about the theatre, he is a well-known risk management expert.

With more than 17 years of professional experience in the financial arena, Joe specializes in group captives and other alternative risk transfer mechanisms. He has led numerous successful complex risk transactions outside the traditional risk management marketplace.

Joe wears many hats at SilverStone Group. He is the Director of the National In-Home Care Division. His expertise helps both independent and franchise owners navigate the complexities of their insurance program. Joe understands the unique exposures specific to the In-Home Healthcare industry and provides the appropriate coverage in order to protect the assets of the franchise. Joe is widely recognized as a leader in the In-Home Care Industry.

He also coordinates SilverStone Group’s Mergers & Acquisitions team, in collaboration with the Human Resource Consulting, 401(k) Retirement, Group Health and Property/Casualty divisions. Joe’s expertise helps organizations navigate the complexities of the due diligence process and integrate the various facets of each company.

Joe’s past experience includes working for Marsh Inc. from 2002-2007, where he was the Office Sales Leader from 2004-2007. He was previously employed by Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, as a leader in the Financial Industry Sector from 1992-2002.

Joe is currently the chairman for Kids Can, serving as a team leader for the organization’s annual luncheon – their largest fundraiser of the year. In addition, Joe is also a member of and a volunteer for The Knights of Columbus-Mary Our Queen Chapter. Joe has acted in and directs The Murder Mystery at the Joslyn Castle – which is their largest annual fundraiser.

Tim demonstrates dedication throughout both his professional and personal life. As an insurance and marketing specialist, he campaigns for enhanced support and marketing of the In-Home Care and Franchise divisions at SilverStone Group – resulting in unbeatable service for his customers. As a family man, he commits quality time, support and encouragement to his wife and three kids. Safely said, he is a champion for dependability.

Tim has more than 23 years of insurance coverage experience, with an increased focus on property and casualty risk management. The clients he has worked with range from contractors, manufacturers and environmental firms, to lawyers, physicians and large retail companies. When he isn’t at the office helping customers make the most out of their insurance coverage, Tim keeps busy by attending his kids’ volleyball and baseball games. He also enjoys going to the lake in Park Rapids, MN and a cabin near Buffalo, WY with his wife Ann and kids. Additionally, Tim serves on the council at Mary Our Queen Parish and is a TeamMates mentor.

Having grown up in Norfolk and moving to Omaha when he was a junior in high school, Tim lives and breathes Midwestern values and fundamental excellence. Todd has a diverse knowledge with unique experiences.  From working with clients across the country to having background knowledge in various organizational industries, he’s well-equipped to handle any client’s healthcare need…and happy to do it!

Todd is the Director of Healthcare and In-Home Care Risk Services for SilverStone Group, providing consulting services to regional and national firms. Todd works with clients to address not only their risk management needs, but also many strategic and operational concerns by utilizing his background and SilverStone Group’s expertise in Human Capital, Benefits Management and Compliance. Todd has more than 24 years of professional experience, with 14 years in banking and over 10 years working in the healthcare industry. With a healthcare background, Todd is well suited to help prioritize clients’ needs, making the best use of their time and resources.

Prior to joining SilverStone Group, Todd was a senior leader of a company that consulted, developed and managed ambulatory surgical centers and specialty hospitals across the United States. He worked with the owners of these facilities in making key decisions in project conception, construction, day-to-day operations and strategic management. These experiences, along with having a wife who is a doctor, provide Todd with a broad range of expertise and unique perspective that he brings to SilverStone Group clients who provide care for patients.

Todd enjoys working at SilverStone Group for the same reasons he was a client of theirs before joining the firm. He believes it is extraordinary of SilverStone Group to invest in people with industry and background experiences outside of insurance who can be a guide for our clients. Todd knows our Associates are truly risk managers and not insurance sales people. Amy Carr is a dedicated woman. This mother is passionate about her growing family and watching baseball. Not only is she committed to her personal life, but Amy also cares about her SilverStone Group clients. Her continued service has led many of them to request her by name when they need assistance.

With more than seven years of industry experience, Amy specializes in property and casualty insurance and risk management for In-Home Care agencies. Her wisdom allows clients to maneuver through the insurance world more easily while, at the same time, controlling their costs and protecting their livelihood.

Amy’s attention to detail and knowledge of the industry allow her to handle her client’s needs in an efficient and timely manner. Since her favorite part of her job is interacting with clients across the country and getting to know each one personally, clients can expect extraordinary customer service from Amy.

At an early age, Meg was introduced to the insurance industry. As the daughter of an agency owner, risk management has always played a part of her life.

At an early age, Meg was introduced to the insurance industry. As the daughter of an agency owner, risk management has always played a part of her life. After her father sold his agency, Meg found her place at SilverStone Group and has worked in several different areas, including Commercial Lines & Bonds and also Personal Lines. She has handled a unique variety of accounts and understands the specialized needs of clients in different industries. She is now a Commercial Account Administrator in the In-Home Risk Services division.

With more than eight years of professional experience in the insurance industry, Meg knows the importance of providing detailed, accurate information and a quick turnaround time. She makes sure her clients understand their policy and helps them resolve any issues they may have. Meg listens to her clients’ needs and finds creative solutions to their problems. It’s safe to say that she understands the industry and is passionate about serving clients.

Dedicated and dependable, Kate Eggert knows the value of teamwork and she’s well aware that hard work pays off. She had these values instilled in her after years of competitive Cross Country and Track in college.

Kate has been around insurance for as long as she can remember.  Her father has worked in the industry for over 30 years, providing her with the knowledge and expertise she needs to excel. After graduating from St. Olaf College, Kate gained experience as an Account Coordinator in the Technology department, and soon after, as an Associate Account Manager in the Commercial Accounts department. This is where she learned the importance of creating and maintaining long-lasting relationship with clients, as well as strengthening her communication and organization skills.

Raised in Wisconsin, Kate was drawn to SilverStone Group’s emphasis on Midwestern values.  She assists the Property & Casualty team as Commercial Account Administrator, which allows her an opportunity to enhance her skills and knowledge in the industry.

As an active member of the Omaha community, Kate is involved in Young Agents of Omaha. When she’s not busy with clients, Kate can been found cheering on the Green Bay Packers with her husband, or singing in her church choir.
