Sitting on his grandfather’s lap, Charles Parmley took flight for the first time on a summer afternoon from a grass farm strip in Indiana. As the small Aeronca Champ broke ground and headed skyward, the love and passion for aviation took hold of this 5-year-old. His passion for aviation became deeply ingrained, leading him on a 30-year journey spanning the spectrum of aircraft maintenance, manufacture, certification and flight operations.
