SilverStone Group Chairman and CEO John P. Nelson was inducted into the Nebraska Hall of Fame in recognition of his exceptional accomplishments in business. The award was established in 1992 by the State Chamber and the University of Nebraska College of Business Administration, the Business Hall of Fame recognizes some of the state's most important business leaders and their contributions to the free enterprise system. Hall of Fame candidates are nominated by individuals from the business community, business associations and academia. John represents the creativity, energy and passion that is essential to the growth and development of Omaha.

John works with both private and public entities to construct alternative funding strategies, including captives, reinsurance, self-insurance and various pre-funding structures. His work with reinsurance intermediaries and direct insurers develops unique strategies that reduce overall client costs. In addition to serving many Omaha and Council Bluffs organizations, John has also been named the King of Ak-Sar-Ben in 2003.
