Alexis Akin-Otiko

Each week during the Basketball season, SilverStone Group will honor one current High School basketball player as the “Wisdom at Work Student Athlete of the Week” for achievements in classroom excellence, community involvement, athletics and citizenship. This week’s honoree is Alexis Akin-Otiko, from Bellevue West High School.

Alexis has outstanding morals, work ethic, grades, and basketball ability. She maintains a 5.2 GPA, and has lead her team to 2 of the last 3 state Class A State championships. She was selected 1st team All-State her sophomore and junior year, as well as being named the All-State Captain as a junior. According to Coach Matt Fritsche “Alexis is a terrific student, person and the definition of student athlete. She represents everything that is right about high school athletics.”

Alexis will continue her basketball career at Creighton University.

Alexis Akin-Otiko will receive a plaque from SilverStone Group recognizing her as this week’s “Wisdom at Work Student Athlete of the Week.”

Brittney Lynch

Each week during the Basketball season, SilverStone Group will honor one current High School basketball player as the “Wisdom at Work Student Athlete of the Week” for achievements in classroom excellence, community involvement, athletics and citizenship. This week’s honoree is Brittney Lynch, from Elkhorn High School.

Lynch has received many awards for her skill on and off the court, including being selected as a Class A first team performer on the court and an Academic All-State Student in the classroom.

Lynch is a member of National Honor Society and serves her community by helping with youth basketball and volleyball camps. According to her Coach Jennifer Wragge, “she is very unselfish, she does whatever it takes for the team to win, she is a tremendous role model on and off the court for our girls.” Lynch will take her game and further her education receiving a scholarship to Washburn University next season.
