Full Biography
Although Jamie was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest has been home to him and his family for the past 14 years. He enjoys the common values and work ethic of Midwesterners. Whether working with financial institutions in the Midwest or other parts of the country, he believes that this common sense approach to meeting today’s challenging environment is what financial institutions are looking for to satisfy their long-term needs.
Jamie has worked in the financial services industry since the early 1980s. His career began in the brokerage business, but for the past 20+ years he has worked with community, regional and money center banks across the country, delivering retail and institutional insurance solutions for banks and their customers.
In 2002, Jamie co-founded a firm specializing in Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), which provides a unique opportunity for banks to increase earnings and help offset the cost of providing benefits to employees. Although several thousand banks own BOLI, a significant focus in the past ten years has been on banks with over $500 million in assets. Jamie sees community banks as having been underserved during this period and is excited to deliver solutions to meet several of the ongoing challenges facing community and regional banks.
During the course of his career, Jamie has led or been involved with the development of insurance products and services that have resulted in several billion dollars of premium in the areas of life insurance and annuities. Utilizing comprehensive and integrated approaches, Jamie has enjoyed working with the senior management of banks and other financial institutions, indentifying and implementing solutions to meet their changing needs.
As head of the Financial Institution practice, Jamie acknowledges the many obstacles and opportunities which face today’s community and regional bank marketplace. He believes the wide range of full service risk and resource management deliverables that SilverStone Group brings to the banking market positions us to meet their evolving needs.
Jamie currently serves as Vice President and Board Member of Worldwide Seminarian Support, a Catholic laity organization.
Married with five children, Jamie is actively involved with his family’s many activities. He particularly enjoys their family vacations to Northern Minnesota where he can chase his boys around the lake and play an occasional round of golf.
