What does Renee love most about living in Nebraska? The 15-mile view out of her front window! She also enjoys taking full advantage of Nebraska’s climate changes throughout the year as an avid water skier and snowmobiling enthusiast. When Renee isn’t busy immersing herself in the great outdoors, she is hard at work advising clients on retirement benefit plans, including both qualified pension plans and nonqualified retirement plans. She completes actuarial valuations, provides financial disclosures and models the cost impact and implications of plan design alternatives. She advises plans regarding contribution strategies with the plan’s specific funding objectives in mind. Renee is a registered representative (Series 7) and is licensed in life and health insurance and annuities.
These qualifications, along with her actuarial credentials and experience, make Renee exclusively skilled to manage pension plan terminations and partial pension carve-outs from start to finish. Her actuarial expertise provides a clear and precise understanding of the pension plan benefits required to be paid. As a registered representative, she accurately analyzes the general assets of an insurance company to determine the safest available annuity, and her insurance license assures plan sponsors receive the most appropriate annuity at the best available price.
Renee is involved in several professional associations, including the Society of Actuaries, the American Academy of Actuaries and the Nebraska Actuaries Club. She is also a member of a group that promotes continuing education for women. This group provides encouragement and financial support to women seeking to advance their education. In addition, Renee serves as treasurer for another organization that provides support to students attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Renee has also published several articles in the SilverLink magazine during her 15 years with SilverStone Group.
