Suzie Tolzin has always had a passion for basketball. She played ball while growing up in Iowa in the late 70s and had the unique opportunity to play for the same person who coached her mother in high school during the 1940s. Since then, Suzie’s passion and competitive drive has translated into a successful career for her in the Group Benefits arena. With more than 23 years of experience in the industry, Suzie has grown into one of the premier management professionals in the region.
Suzie has experience working with large, sophisticated clients who often utilize a self-funded approach for their benefit plans. She is able to design and model benefit plans with her employer groups that are not only cost effective, but also provide the best solutions overall for employers and employees. Her extensive background in claim operations, customer service and Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) at a carrier and Third Party Administrator level allow her to uncover potential opportunities for employers to keep administrative expenses manageable while providing the most fiscally responsible benefits for her clients.
In addition to her strong work ethic, Suzie plays an active role in the community. She is a current member and past President of the Sioux Falls Downtown Lions Club and has received the Melvin Jones Fellow for Dedicated Humanitarian Services award from the Lions Club International. Suzie also co-chaired the 2012 Habitat for Humanity of Coreatu Sioux Falls Women Build Project.
