Shay Welsh is a Project Consultant working in collaboration with SilverStone Group to provide assistance in the area of selection, organizational culture, trust and work life integration.
Growing up in Colorado, Shay loved hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and skiing. She still enjoys spending time outdoors and learning about the natural world, and has raised her family to enjoy similar activities.
Shay is pursuing an MA/PhD in psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. With coursework for her MA in Industrial Organizational Psychology completed, Shay is currently writing her thesis on trust relationships within organizations. Shay’s PhD focus will be in the area of Developmental Psychology with an emphasis on adult development and the impact of the work environment on individuals and groups. Through her thesis research, Shay examines how leaders’ decisions influence stakeholders’ perceptions of their trustworthiness and is dedicated to helping decision-makers explore their assumptions, as well as the potential intended and unintended consequences of their decisions.
Using her skills in research and analysis, Shay assists clients in obtaining the information they need to make wise and informed decisions. She also has experience in performance management, selection and statistical analysis.
Shay is a member of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, the Association for Psychological Science, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Association of the Midlands.
