Leigh Branham is a Project Consultant working in collaboration with SilverStone Group to provide assistance in the areas of employee engagement and retention.

Leigh brings 30 years of experience in business, education and management consulting to his mission of helping employers implement best practices in employee engagement and retention.

He is the author of Keeping the People Who Keep You in Business: 24 Ways to Hang On to Your Most Valuable Talent, which consistently ranks on Amazon.com as one of the best-selling books about employee retention. His latest book is The 7 Hidden Reasons Employees Leave: How to Recognize the Subtle Signs and Act Before It’s Too Late. He worked with SilverStone Group’s Mark Hirschfeld on Re-Engaged: How the Best Workplaces Inspire Extra Effort in Extraordinary Times, a groundbreaking study on employee engagement, gleaned from their analysis of over 10,000 employers across the United States. Re-Engaged was published in early 2010.

Leigh was Vice President of Organizational Consulting with Right Management Consultants in Kansas City, where he was leader of the firm’s Talent Management Practice for the Heartland region. Prior to that, he was a Senior Consultant with Lee Hecht Harrison in Irvine, California. Within these roles, Leigh consulted in a wide range of industries, including insurance, banking and finance, healthcare, manufacturing, construction and telecommunications.

Leigh consults and speaks throughout the United States on various topics such as employee retention and engagement, workforce trends, performance management and generational differences.

He has been widely quoted in the media, including publications such as Fortune, Business Week and The Associated Press, as an expert on employee retention. He has also been published in the Harvard Business Review.

Leigh is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and The Organizational Development Network.
