Cathy is a hands-on type of gal! Whether knitting, crocheting or fixing network servers, she’s always working on something! As SilverStone Group’s Network Engineer, Cathy spends her time maintaining physical and virtual servers, managing network storage and providing disaster recovery for network data. With over 15 years of network experience (14 of which have been spent at SilverStone Group), Cathy has extensive experience handling e-mail systems and troubleshooting network applications. She enjoys the daily challenges presented by constantly evolving technology, which allows her to exercise her strengths: patience in resolving technical issues, multi-tasking and a focused drive to get things done right. She works hard to ensure the network is protected against any potential harm, while still being flexible enough to meet end users’ need. The IT department feels fortunate to have such a skilled professional, but Cathy also feels pretty lucky to be a part of the team – they’ve become her extended family!
Cathy is involved with the VMware User Group (VMUG) on a professional level, but is also a board officer and Chair to the Education Committee for the Nebraska Knit and Crochet Guild. When Cathy is away from the office, she enjoys knitting hats for cancer victims and cold weather garments for the homeless.
